Sami Geadah
About Dr. Geadah has had a long career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) since he joined its Economist Program. At the IMF, he led program negotiations and surveillance (Article IV) consultations, was part of the team that established the IMF-World Bank Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP), then heading the assessments of several countries. He was the first director of the IMF Middle East Technical Assistance Center in Beirut; he also served as the Alternate Director on the IMF Executive Board. Dr. Geadah has a Ph.D. in finance from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in economics from the American University of Beirut.
