Omar Sirri
About Omar Sirri is an associate fellow at IFI. He is a PhD Candidate in political science at the University of Toronto. His doctoral dissertation is an ethnography of security practices and urban checkpoints in contemporary Baghdad. Omar is also leading a research project with the LSE Middle East Centre that investigates transformations in Baghdad's market spaces.
